David joined AspireWealth Planners in November 2014 as Managing Partner. He has been described by many as highly committed, very enthusiastic, intensely loyal and extremely knowledgeable in the areas of financial strategy and leadership.

Based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, under David’s direction, AspireWealth Planners aims to be one of the leading holistic wealth experts in our communities, committed to becoming the premiere resource of wealth accumulation and preservation in the Chesapeake Bay Region and D.C. Metro marketplace.

With the guiding values of providing nothing less than excellence in service, as well as integrity and respect, David is establishing a new culture in the firm—creating a mentoring culture for junior associates and a succession plan for team leaders.

David’s expertise in areas of financial strategy and leadership is evidenced by his track record. Prior to AspireWealth Planners, under David’s direction, Independence Wealth Strategies experienced a 68% average sales growth in its top performers. David served as Managing Director there from 2009-2014, during which time the firm achieved MetLife’s Leaders status. As an accolade to the change of culture, the firm won the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2013 and 2014 Best Places to Work Award

Prior to IWS, David worked as a Division Manager at Creative Financial Group and was at Deloitte & Touche for 2 years. At CFG, his teams earned Chairman’s Council (6 qualifiers), Master’s Council (5 qualifiers), and Leader’s Council (10 qualifiers). He worked directly with 6 of the top 10 producers in the Metlife/NEF distribution channels, resulting in overall divisional GDC in excess of $17 million. He led the strategic practice development and team building of the New England Financial Flagship winner for five consecutive years.

Over the course of his career, Dave has received many of the industries’ most prestigious awards, including Chairman's Council Qualifier (Sales Manager of the Year) and the New England Financial Master Managing Associate Award for the retention of existing producers and development of new recruits. He has won the Agency Builders Managing Associate Award annually since becoming a Sales Manager in 1996 and is a multiple winner of New England Financial's Sales Manager of the Year award.

Active in the community, he is heavily involved with local charities and is a supporter of the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation, the Variety Club as well as co-founder of the Children’s Hope Foundation. Children's Hope Foundation has awarded in excess of $100,000 in scholarships to children directly or indirectly impacted by cancer. In recognition of his profound accomplishments with the Children's Hope Foundation charity, David has been awarded the esteemed Edward E. Phillip Award for Outstanding Citizenship. With AspireWealth Planners, he is actively involved in the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation.

David resides in Garnet Valley, PA with his wife, Gina, and their four children: Robert, Rachel, Dominic, and Gabrielle.

As Case Strategy Manager for AspireWealth, Tom is responsible for case design, holistic solutions, develop fee based financial plans, and help with adviser development. At AspireWealth, Tom specializes in Case Strategy, Training and Development, and Financial Planning.

Tom started his career as an adviser, and comes to AspireWealth with 10 years of experience. Throughout his career he has specialized in serving as an advocate for advisers by providing support with training and development, and wealth advisory. Prior to joining AspireWealth Planners, Tom served as MetLife/Mass Mutual’s Case Design Manager where he assisted local advisers with eMoney usage and training, fee based financial plans, and Professional Profiles. Before becoming Case Design Manager, Tom served as MetLife’s Training Director where he helped attract, develop and retain advisers with the advancement of their practices.

Tom attended Towson University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He currently resides in Hereford with his wife of 19 years, Kate, and his 5 children. Tom enjoys spending time with his family, and supporting his children’s after school activities.

Ryan has a long track record of success, both as an advisor and in management.

Prior to joining AspireWealth, Ryan worked at Bankers Life in King of Prussia, PA. He enjoyed success as an Advisor by being named as Rookie of the Month twice in his first six months. Ryan was promoted to the Unit Field Trainer due to his consistent results, talent, and ability to lead. Wanting to further his knowledge in the industry, he obtained his securities license and was eventually named Unit Sales Supervisor of his office shortly thereafter. Within two years of assuming that role, he built a team of 35 advisors that were recognized collectively as a Top 5 team nationally. At AspireWealth, Ryan specializes in the following target markets: small businesses, personal financial strategies, athletes, and Millennials.

Born and raised in Sellersville, PA, Ryan graduated from Liberty University earning his undergraduate degree while serving as Captain of the Football team that finished Top 10 Nationally in 1-AA his senior year. Following college, Ryan played 3 seasons as a Professional Football Player in the Arena Football League before beginning his career in Financial Services. He is still involved in the game serving as a Member of the Maxwell Football Clubs’ High School Awards Committee.

Ryan resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife, Jessica, and enjoys traveling in his time away from work.

As Business Development Specialist, Michelle is responsible for firm branding, event planning and coordination, digital marketing, and various target marketing campaigns that take place both internally and externally for our agency. Michelle provides assistance to our advisors and their practices by providing opportunities through networking meetings, specialized training classes, and social media development.

Donald A. Lewis

Operations Manager

AspireWealth Planners is committed to helping people grow and preserve their wealth across generations in the Chesapeake Bay region and DC Metro marketplace. Our wide range of services helps ensure individuals, families, and businesses are protected and financially prepared for the future. As Operations Manager, Don will be responsible for managing the facilities in both our Hunt Valley, MD and Newark, DE locations, oversee new business processing, manage finances and budgets, as well as, help with human resource functions during the on-boarding process.

Don started his career as an adviser, and went on to serve in controls and operations. He comes to AspireWealth with over 22 years of industry experience. Prior to joining AspireWealth Planners, Don worked as Practice Manager at Metropolis Wealth Advisors where he helped manage the practice of 5 advisers. Don also served as Assistant Operations Manager at MetLife where he reviewed both incoming and outgoing correspondence, helped submit new business inquiries, processed checks, and completed annual compliance reviews for local advisers. Don holds his Series 6, 7, 66, and 24.

Don currently resides in Sparks, MD with his wife, Julie, and two children, Matthew (13), and Charlie (6). During this time away from work, Don enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering with the Autism Society of Baltimore County, and playing tennis.

As a Director for AspireWealth, Phil is responsible for developing and overseeing the vertical growth of advisors and teams, as well as, expanding our services and solutions to help ensure our agency is one of the leading holistic wealth planners in our communities. At AspireWealth, Phil specializes in Practice Management, Coaching, and Leadership.

Prior to joining AspireWealth, Phil worked at Diamond State Financial as a Field Director. In his role he focused on attracting, retaining, and developing advisors to the agency. Phil also served as an Agency Sales Director with Independence Wealth Strategies in their three office locations in PA, DE, and NJ. As Agency Sales Director, Phil focused on the development and evolution of advisors and advisor teams, along with helping mange the teaming concept throughout the agency. Phil has a long track record of success, both as an advisor and in management.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Phil graduated from Delaware Community College earning his associates degree. Phil holds his FINRA series 7, 6, and 63, as well as, Life and Health license. He also received his Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) through the American College in 2008.

Phil currently lives in Avondale, PA with his wife, Jennifer, and three children Philip, Ava, and Dominic. During his time away from work, Phil enjoys golf, basketball, and spending time with friends and family.

 

Shannon Addicks

Client Relationship Manager

Shannon* is the Client Relationship Manager for Gary Melnick and Brian Rosenbaum. She holds a Maryland Life & Health License and is Series 6 registered. Her focus is on providing concierge level service for clients. In addition to her role working with clients, Shannon also manages the administrative aspects of the Melnick- Rosenbaum Group and has been a team member for over 14 years.

Shannon was born and raised in Baltimore County and graduated from Dulaney High School. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology from Towson University. She currently resides in Perry Hall with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Marketing Director

o Kia is the Marketing Director for Gary Melnick and Brian Rosenbaum. She focuses on developing and implementing marketing plans to better achieve organizational objectives in addition to assisting with clients. Kia recently graduated from Towson University in Fall 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Management and E-Business. In her free time, Kia enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Sandy Arkins

Receptionist

Sandy serves as Receptionist for AspireWealth Planners. Prior to joining our firm, she spent the major part of her career working in a clerical capacity as an administrative and accounting assistant along with being the office manager of a CPA firm in Towson, Maryland. In addition to answering the telephone and various other reception duties, she performs a variety of clerical support to the department.

Sandy was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Sandy currently resides in Carney, Maryland with her husband of 25 years. In their spare time, Sandy and Lou enjoy traveling south in the summer months to South Carolina and Georgia and rooting on the Baltimore Ravens. She has a daughter, Shelley, two grandchildren, Anna and Jack and two cockapoo pups, Gracie and Katie.

Cici serves as the New Business Specialist here at AspireWealth Planners. Cici holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and has demonstrated her professionalism in various industries including Banking, Finance, and Hospitality. With her studies specializing in Finance, Cici helps process various transactions for the agency and provides top notch customer service.

At home, Cici is kept busy by her 3 year old. Cici also loves to visit different places with her husband and her son.

Debbie Dudeck

New Business Specialist

Debbie* serves as the New Business Specialist at AspireWealth Planners. She has been in the Financial Services Industry for 11 years and holds her Life and Health license and her Series 6 securities registration as a registered representative of Hornor, Townsend, & Kent, Inc. Her primary responsibilities lie in processing and monitoring applications through our underwriting process. Debbie acts as a liaison between the home office and the agents to ensure we offer the best possible service to meet our clients’ needs.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Debbie attended college in Philadelphia and came to Maryland in 1985. She lives in Abingdon, MD with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing new things and trips back home.

Rose Emig

Account Manager

Rose Emig has been an Account Manager in our Employee Benefits Department since 2000. She focuses on designing group & individual health insurance programs. Rose also plays a major role in the placement and servicing of ancillary benefits and provides a myriad of support services to our clients. She holds a Maryland Life & Health License and is a registered Notary Public. Rose exemplifies the personal touch that we have found our clients prefer. Her excellent problem solving skills and the relationships she has with the service and underwriting departments of the carriers we use make her a valuable member of our team.

After graduating from Seton High School in Baltimore, Rose studied abroad for 2 years attending University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She currently resides in Abingdon, Maryland with her husband Dean. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews.

Lauren Evans

Lauren attended Virginia Wesleyan College, a small liberal arts school in Virginia Beach. She played lacrosse in college, and graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Lauren is Life & Health licensed and currently in the process of studying for her Series 6 exam. At this time, she works directly with Stan Evans as a Client Relationship Manager.

Lauren was born and raised in Reisterstown, Maryland. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and spending time at the beach. She also likes to travel whenever she has the opportunity.

Lisa L. Nelson

Practice Manager

Lisa joined Okun Financial Group in September, 2011 as the Practice Manager. She serves clients at OFG with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Baltimore and holds a Life and Health license. She also has a certification in Associate Customer Service through LOMA, (Life Office Management Association) one of the largest trade organizations in the life insurance industry.

Lisa lives in Randallstown with her husband and they have two adult children that also live in the area. In her spare time, Lisa can be found hanging out with family and friends and cheering on her favorite team, the Ravens. She enjoys traveling and dining out at favorite restaurants. She is also an avid photographer and she will never miss an opportunity to take a picture.

Barbara is a Client Relationship Manager at Melnick Rosenbaum Wealth Management.Barbara was born in Baltimore. She graduated from CCB with an AA degree in business. Barb retired with 30 years service from GMAC, the lending arm of GM, after working in their Columbia and Salisbury offices.Not one to stay home, she promptly joined Penn Mutual, where she got her Series 7 and Series 24 registrations as a registered representative of HTK. She currently resides in Middle River, Maryland and spends as much of her free time as weather permits, sailing the Chesapeake Bay.

Jennifer Schepers

Jennifer has over 9 years experience in the Recruiting, Personnel, and Marketing field, and serves as the Director of Agency Services for AspireWealth Planners. Jennifer manages the agency contracting/licensing department and directs the implementation of business and marketing initiatives for the agency and advisors.

Native to Baltimore, Jennifer graduated from Shippensburg University in 2005 with a B.A in Communications Journalism. She currently resides in Baltimore County where she enjoys traveling, playing soccer, spending time with her husband, young daughter and husky.

Susan Stein

Assistant to Mr. Stan Evans, Capital Financial Benefit Solutions

Susan serves as Assistant to Stan Evans, Partner of Capital Financial Benefit Solutions. Focusing on new business, Susan follows cases from submission to case placement. In addition, it is of utmost importance to her to ensure that clients feel that their financial needs are a priority by providing consistent, timely and efficient service. Susan has been a supporting member of Stan’s team for fifteen years.

Susan was born and raised in Maryland and currently resides in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys helping her husband with renovations and spending time with her children and granddaughter.

Christine White

Chris has been an account manager and agent in the Employee Benefits Dept. of Capital Financial Benefits Solutions, LLC since 1996. She earned her LUTCF designation in 1985, CLU designation in 1994 and in 1999 served on a Task Force for the MD Health Care Commission.

Originally from NJ, Chris graduated from Merrimack College in MA and later attended MD Institute College of Art. After living in England for several years, she worked for Home Life Insurance Company of New York for 7 years, followed by 15 years with another independant insurance agency prior to joining our Group Benefits Department, Capital Financial Partners Benefit Solutions. Chris resides in Towson, MD and enjoys art, music, books and visits with her son in Seattle.

Erikson Asker

Erikson has a long track record of success, both as an advisor and in management.

Prior to joining AspireWealth Planners, Erikson worked as an Advisor at Bankers Life for four years and gained industry experience by serving as an Agent, Unit Field Trainer, Unit Supervisor, and eventually a Satellite Branch Manager. Following his time at Bankers Life, he joined ProEquities in King of Prussia, PA. He served as a Financial Advisor and helped clients with the risks and rewards surrounding their investments, and provided valuable input and solutions to help them mitigate their decisions. At AspireWealth, Erikson is responsible for understanding the goals and objectives of each client and seeks to help them achieve those goals through education, strategic partnerships, and leveraging the services and solutions our agency provides.

Erikson graduated from Bridgewater State University earning his undergraduate degree in Business Management. Erikson currently resides in Conshohocken, PA and enjoys spending time with friends and family during his time away from work.

Their passion is to not only help their clients retire, but to travel that journey with them while offering a level of service which goes beyond expectations. Stan Evans, CFP® now celebrates his thirty-fifth year in the insurance, investment and financial planning business. As a Certified Financial Planner™, Stan specializes in small business and professional markets in addition to personal and business financial planning.

Along with three partners, Stan formed Capital Financial Benefit Solutions, LLC in 2006 and was formerly a partner of the Maryland Agency Financial Group for twelve years. As a Partner of Capital Financial Benefit Solutions, Stan’s stated objective is to advise clients on prudent insurance and investment decisions, so they can to protect and maximize their wealth on a tax-efficient basis. Stan previously sat on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Baltimore for two separate terms and has been a Penn Mutual leader and qualifier of Penn Mutual’s elite agent club.

A graduate of Towson University and a committed professional in the financial planning arena, Stan has achieved many milestones in the financial planning industry, including Million Dollar Round Table, Court of the Table, HTK Broker Dealer Peak Performance. He has been awarded “Agent of the Year’” on several occasions and is a consistent Golden Eagle and Royal Blue Producer with Penn Mutual. He treats all clients with a straightforward, common-sense approach to financial planning. Todd H. Evans

Todd was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Virginia Wesleyan College, where he played collegiate lacrosse and was selected to the First-Team All-ODAC, First-Team All-Virginia, Captain of the team for two seasons, and received the Leadership Award for the College. Todd graduated in 2007, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics. Todd continues to be an active member of the Virginia Wesleyan College Men’s Lacrosse Alumni Association, and also participates in many community service efforts.

Todd holds licenses in Maryland to provide Life, Health, Disability, and Long Term Care insurance. His passion and commitment to helping individuals, as well as businesses achieve their goals, happens through a customized process where his main objective is to advise clients on prudent insurance decisions so they can to protect and maximize their wealth on a tax-efficient basis.

Tim Foster

Financial Advisor

Timothy works directly with Melnick Rosenbaum Wealth Management, and is licensed for Life and Health Insurance and is a Registered Representative with Penn Mutual's wholly owned subsidiary, Hornor, Townsend, and Kent, Inc. (HTK). As a financial advisor, Timothy is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses with insurance needs, retirement preparation, wealth management, risk management, and estate planning by utilizing comprehensive economic models. By doing so, he works with clients to develop a tailored strategy designed to help them achieve their long and short term goals.

Timothy grew up in Northern New Jersey and has been in the Maryland area for the last five years. He graduated from Towson University with degrees in Business Administration and Electronic Business Management. Timothy was also a member of Towson University's Swim Team.

When Timothy is not working, he enjoys outdoor activities, visiting local restaurants, and is an avid sports fan.

Stuart F. Gray is a financial services representative with National Financial Legacy Group in Hunt Valley, MD. He has an Economics degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has been working in finance for 30 years and specializes as a financial advisor to 401k plans and high net worth individuals.

Drew serves as a Financial Advisor with S2 Financial Partners in Hunt Valley, MD. S2 Financial, created by Richard Dix and Dave Cureton, strives to provide legendary solutions and services to their clients. S2 offers a “Platinum Service” designed to deliver unparalleled service based on the clients individual wants and needs. Their goal is to give clients a superior client experience that clients will want to share with friends, business associates, and family.

As part of the S2 Financial Partners team, Drew specializes in the protection component of the financial planning process. He provides valuable insight on life insurance and other protection values. Additionally, Drew meets with clients to review their current financial situation and discusses their short and long term objectives. The S2 team will then analyze the client’s data and present strategies that are appropriate and best suited to help meet their unique financial situation.

Born and raised in Baltimore, a Calvert Hall High School and McDaniel College graduate, Drew uses his education in Business Administration and Economics to continuously improve and expand his knowledge of financial strategies. Drew and his wife, Aline, live in Hampstead and enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time outdoors. You can expect to find them at an Orioles game or riding bikes on the NCR trail.

Rick Hellberg

Rick serves as the President of Peter Alexander an associate agency of Penn Mutual’s Maryland Agency, locally known as AspireWealth Planners. AspireWealth strives to be one of the leading holistic wealth planners in our communities– committed to becoming the premiere resource for wealth accumulation and preservation in the Chesapeake Bay Region and DC Metro marketplace. Rick will help the agency expand its footprint in the Greater Philadelphia and Central Pennsylvania regions.

Nick Hood

Nick Hood, a Maryland native, joined the AspireWealth Planners in March of 2015. He grew up in Northern Baltimore County and still lives in the area. After graduating from Hereford High School, Nick decided to attend Towson University. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development. While attending Towson, Nick worked as a Technical Theatre Specialist. Despite the extensive knowledge Nick gained while working in the Theatre Industry, he decided to follow his passion for Financial Services

Christina has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in trust administration, retirement options, estate planning, insurance and business planning. As a wealth advisor, Christina is dedicated to eliminating her clients’ financial fears by educating them and enhancing their financial intelligence, and helping them develop a financial plan that goes far beyond the investment component. Christina believes in a comprehensive approach that addresses all facets of planning, including wealth transfer, insurance, taxes, investments, retirement, risk management and business planning. Before beginning his career in Financial Services, Mr. Sullivan enjoyed a successful 25 year career in Sales and Marketing in the Hospitality industry. He was the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia where his primary role was to oversee a team of sales managers cultivate account opportunities for business travel, leisure travel and meetings & conventions through event marketing and networking outreach. Due to his expertise, Mr. Sullivan served as a former Marketing Board Member of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. Prior to joining AspireWealth Planners, Mr. Sullivan spent two years in the insurance industry focusing on life, annuity, and Medicare supplement planning for the retirement marketplace.

Mr. Sullivan graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors Degree in Hotel Administration. During his time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his partner, Barbara, and two children, Ryan, a Mechanical Engineer Major at Dayton, and Shane. Additionally, Mr. Sullivan is an avid sports enthusiast, and enjoys cooking, golfing and skiing.
