Ellen is focused on customized client care. She has worked in the Financial Services and Insurance industry for 15 years and brings a wealth of experience to her clients, providing customized solutions to meet their short, intermediate, and long term needs.
Ellen’s services include retirement planning, tax deferment, life insurance, disability insurance, supplemental insurance, and Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage options. She enjoys a solid base of many loyal customers who appreciate her patience, compassion, diligence, and superior commitment to customer service. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Ellen served as a Benefits Advisor at Howard University and later as a Human Resources Director at the Washington Council of Governments; Reebok, International and Pearson Government Solutions. Additionally, she has consulted in the areas of benefits and human resources at several non-profit organizations and boutique firms throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Her combined experience in financial services and human resource management makes her uniquely skilled in relating to corporate decision makers, rank and file employees and heads of households, offering insight and optimal solutions for employee benefits and individual plans. Ellen holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration(MPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in foreign language and linguistics from the University of Texas. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Ellen enjoys live theater productions, fashion design, exploring new restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines, as well as learning about and working with all breeds of dogs. She is currently Vice President of the Chevy Chase Game Changers Chapter of Business Network International (BNI). She also serves on the Executive Leadership Committee of the Howard University Alumni Club of Greater Washington, D.C. and is a longstanding member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Ellen is affiliated with a number of other organizations , where she gives generously of her time , leading fundraising activities to support needy college students and mentoring young professionals. Her proudest accomplishment is that of being the mother of two remarkable young men, Kristofer and Chase.
